The British Feeding and Drinking Group Annual Meeting 50th Anniversary 23 – 24 April 2026
We are delighted to invite you to attend the 2026 annual meeting of the British Feeding and Drinking Group (BFDG), which will be held in person from April 23 to April 24 at the Wageningen International Congress Centre (WICC) in The Netherlands.
The BFDG is an international and multi-disciplinary gathering of scientists interested in all aspects of appetite, eating and drinking (see ‘About the BFDG’ for further information and history). The annual conference welcomes a wide range of academic, clinical and industry-based scientists, including those working in psychology, physiology, medicine, nutrition, food science and related disciplines. The meeting provides an ideal platform for PhD students and early career researchers to showcase their work. For students with limited access to funding, hardship scholarships will be available to cover registration costs (see ‘Hardship scholarships and prizes’ section for more information).
This year, the meeting is organised by the Sensory Science and Eating Behaviour Chair group at Wageningen University, Division of Human Nutrition and Health, with input from a local organising committee from the UK and EU. We look forward to welcoming you for an exciting programme of short talks, keynote addresses and research posters.
To avoid disappointment, make sure to register promptly before the accommodation fills up.
Online abstract submission is open until January 30th 2026, with the option to select a preference for a short oral presentation or a poster. There will be an option to have the abstract published in the journal Appetite.
