Instructions for oral presenters
Oral presentation instructions
- Each speaker will be given 10 minutes to present their work, followed by 5 minutes for questions from the audience.
- Please name of your PowerPoint file using the following format: Firstname_Surname.pptx
- We kindly request that all presenters bring their PowerPoint slides on USB-stick.
- Please make sure that you are present in the lecture room 15 minutes before the start of the session in which you are presenting, to load your presentation on the conference laptop. For presenters from the sessions immediately following the keynote lectures, this means you have to be present at 8:45 am
- You have been allocated an oral session on either day, with the specific day/time being communicated on our website under the “Programme” tab.

At the meeting
- The main presentation sessions will take place in the WICC.
- If possible, check your presentation has been uploaded in the room prior to the session in which you are presenting
- Please ensure that you are in the conference lecture theatre at least 5 minutes prior to the start of your allocated session. Introduce yourself to the session chair stating how you wish to be introduced
- Technical Requirements for PowerPoint Presentations: Please note, we require all PowerPoint presentations to be formatted in a 16:9 aspect ratio (1,920 x 1,080 pixels).
- Videos must be embedded in PowerPoint.
Instructions for poster presenters
- There will be several poster sessions for BFDG 2026 organized by themes. Your poster has been allocated to be presented at one of these themes and has been given a poster board number. To see which poster session your poster has been allocated and your poster board number. You should have received an email with your poster board number and theme, please contact the organization if you did not.
- Poster presentations should be formatted to fit within a portrait layout in size A1 (594 mm width x 841 mm height).
- The poster session will take place in the meeting room of the hotel Wander on both days of the conference.
- All posters (session 1 and session 2) should be displayed on your allocated poster board number by 9 am on the first day of the conference, you can keep your poster up till the end of the conference (lunch break day 2).
- Materials to attach posters will be provided.

- Thursday April 23: 11:15-12:15, Poster session 1; Themes 1, 2 and 3
- Friday April 24: 11:00-12:00, Poster session 2; Themes 4, 5 and 6
- Presenters should attend their poster during their allocated session – this is an essential opportunity to discuss your research in more detail, so do make sure you are available for the full period
- Throughout the day, there will be several moments dedicated to poster viewing, and everyone is welcome to explore the posters. All posters will be on the posterboards for the 2 whole days.
After meeting
- Remember to take your poster with you at the end of lunch on day 2; unclaimed posters will be disposed of.
